With less than a week to go before entries are cut off for this year’s Caesarstone Kitchen of the Year competition, it’s all systems go for the Caesarstone marketing team!
Our biggest competition campaign yet, we’ve had everybody from the effervescent Jeannie D on the Afternoon Express television show, to our marketing assistant calling on designers and the public to enter. Vigorous campaigning has seen multiple magazine editorials, television adverts, live television in-show mentions and a thorough social media campaign go out into the South African public domain.
Since March we’ve invited architects, interior designers, kitchen designers and homeowners to submit their most beautiful, new Caesarstone kitchens into the competition – now headlined as Africa’s biggest kitchen design competition, ever.
At last count this morning, we have 55 top quality entries into the competition, which means the chances of your kitchen being selected as a finalist design are pretty fair.
“It’s never been easier to enter the Caesarstone Kitchen of the Year competition,” says Caesarstone South Africa’s advertising manager and TV presenter, Lisa Aspeling. “The online process is quick, and the amazing prize money of R100,000 for each of the two winning homeowner-designer pairs is a wonderful reward for creating South Africa’s most beautiful kitchens”.
We’re equally excited about our judging panel this year – top, local kitchen designer and the original competition winner, Philip Richards of blu_line is sure to bring his exacting eye to the entries. Well-known chef, Karen Dudley of The Kitchen fame, will be bringing her practical kitchen experience to the panel, while Elle Decoration magazine Editor, Bielle Bellingham will bring her contemporary eye for design, as well as her knowledge of international and local trends to the table. Big-time local TV producer, Bradley van den Berg, is a design pundit, while Mor Krisher is Caesarstone International’s head of product design and completely immersed in the world of kitchen design all year long as a result!
