Savouring golden pears, delicate plum blossoms and Country Road vessels, Matanna Katz of Ethereal Bound Journal creates a playful scene with Caesarstone’s new Rugged Concrete quartz surface.

THE INSPIRATION: I was inspired by the change of seasons. I relished in the idea of the way the soft delicate plum blossom flowers evoked the feeling of Spring time triumphing over Winter, which was represented by the Caesarstone Rugged Concrete surface. I then added playful elements such as the ripe golden pears to present a bountifulness of Spring and Summer and minimal decor pieces to my tablescape.

“I believe that narratives in all forms awaken our imagination, curiosity and encourage introspection.” – Matanna Katz

THE COLOURS: The colour palette was about mixing warm tones with cooler toned hues and juxtaposing them against each other to represent the different seasons. You can almost smell the fragrant plum blossoms! The crockery is from Country Road’s homeware collection.

THE SETTING: When it comes to styling a table setting,  utilise  your surroundings and use nature as your muse to bring life and inspiration into your home.  For example, start with a bare Caesarstone surface and a small raw creased linen table cloth runner. Create a beautiful centrepiece using elements from nature such as branches or flowers. Then layer your table setting with tableware elements in a neutral colour palette.
